Out of the blue while eating lunch at the table with the girls, Madeleine says to me, " You know mom if we never get a brother it is okay because we already have one." Hmmm...curiously I wait for her to finish her thought. She continued, "Jesus is our brother!"
I bet you can't tell what has been on our mind around this house lately? Now although just the very thought of getting pregnant literally shoots chunks up my throat, giving me anxiety, and tiring me out with a headache...I think a little boy would be a nice addition to our family! Did I just say that? Three kids is great for me. Now four? Well that might throw me over the edge. Hahaha! We'll see...the Lord always has His plan for us, come what may! But I must say that Madeleine once again is so right! Jesus is our Brother. I told her that she needed to make sure and tell daddy that tonight when he got home. ( I can hardly wait to hear the response from my desperate-for-a son husband.) I am thankful for my Old-Souled-Madie. She has so much wisdom and understanding for such a little girl her age.
Let me fill you in on Madeleine now that my attention is turned to her. Well she currently is in Kindergarten and L-O-V-E-S it. Her teacher is Mrs. Singer, who I might add is A-Mazing! In school they are really working hard at their reading, and writing. Her penmanship is beautiful and her stories that she writes are fun to read. She is reading very well, sounding out any unknown words that she sees. Madeleine is one lucky girl who is surrounded by such good friends. She is always happy and I couldn't be more thrilled. I don't think Madie knows how to simply walk, she literally skips or bounces everywhere she goes, all the while beaming a smile from ear to ear. She is currently in swim lessons and gymnastics. With permissions from Madeleine, I am now officially able to announce that she is able to do a Cart-wheel! This is big time for her. She defeated her frustration and won! Another big deal for her is that she now can swing all the way across on the Monkey bars. (of course, while her kids sister, Elisabeth stands there swinging her booty singing,"Did the monkey mail come?" Silly girl is always making us laugh!) Last summer Madeleine learned to ride her bike without training wheels and so far this year she now has mastered the art of starting the bike by herself without us giving her a push to begin. It is amazing to me just how cool and monumental the little things are to them. I love it! Definitely, once Madeleine has her mind set on something, she NEVER gives up until she succeeds. Madeleine still has an imagination beyond that of ANYONE I have ever met. It is unreal and entertaining to watch not just for me but for her lucky sisters. She has the ability to create something from literally nothing. Madie loves to play with Lego's, build museums, schools, homes, and anything else she can think of. I am lucky to be her mom and see her develop and blossom into this beautiful little girl.
