Easter Weekend in Washington D.C.

Over Easter weekend we had the opportunity to go visit our friends Jeff and Alexis in Washington D.C. I had just finished a couple of grueling rotations in my residency program and we were in need of a little get away as a family. We had never been to our nations capital so we were extra excited to see the sites. We had a wonderful time visiting friends and learning more about our nations history.

My two most favorite sites that we saw on our trip had to be Mt. Vernon and Arlington National Cemetary. We were able to see the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It was a reverent experience to see our soldiers honored in this way At the Lincoln Memorial On the subway going into the city to see the sites. Yes, the double BOB stroller fit In between General Conference Sessions on Easter Sunday we took the family to the Washington D.C. temple and visitors center. The temple and grounds were beautiful

One of my favorite things in the world is seeing the girls play and laugh together. Here they are enjoying time together on the lawn outside of the Capitol Building. Our family in front of the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.
