January 2010: VicTORia is her name and sauciness is her game! Oh boy, has our little girl stepped into her own. Although she was slow to crawl (almost 10 1/2 months old) she sure is not slow to command the attention of anyone who is present. Wowy, She LOVES to talk, dance, and eat food. Seriously she can whoop her two sisters with eating...and that says a lot because both girls are FANTASTIC eaters. With her loud screams and frantic demands, FOOD is a hot topic for our dear little Victoria. She will eat anything and does so successfully even without teeth, gumming everything down. The looks of what might be two tiny teeth are on their way, it's about time since she is almost 1 year old.
April 25th, 2010: I have decided to add to this post now that she is 14 months old. She learned to walk the day before her 1st birthday, which was completely exciting for us all. I think especially for her sisters...they have been waiting for this day for quite some time. On her Birthday we bought her her very own Pink Princess torte cake from IKEA. She had no problem downing it right then and there! I like how Victoria is completely aware of just how funny she is. She does things and immediately looks at us to await our laughs. And boy does she get laughs. Her two older sisters are Victoria's biggest fans. Both Madeleine and Elisabeth constantly tell me just how happy they are that Victoria is apart of our family. Victoria loves to go to the zoo and read books with us about animals. She squeals with anticipation until we open the pages up to begin. As she points to every animal she either barks at them like a dog or screams like a monkey. It is hilarious. She also is a girl of many faces. Seriously I need to find pictures of her doing all of her various faces. She is more animated in her face that any character I know. She loves to walk around and feels completed free and liberated walking up and down the sidewalks on our street. A sucker is my go to last resort BRIBE for her. My other girls like suckers but not like Victoria. A SUCKER is filled with pure sugary bliss to her. A few words that she likes to say are: baby, Madie, mommeee, dad, bye, hi, ball, more, woof, and eye. When she smiles her sweet little eyes look like moon beams, it makes my hear melt. Victoria is funny because she is at the phase of "monkey see...monkey do." She wants and tries to do everything that her two big sisters do. I get nervous because although she is merely 14 months she tries to act way older than she is. She loves music and has since she was a baby. She likes to dance, bobbing her head up and down.
I asked Elisabeth what she wants me to write about Victoria and this is what she said, " She is so cute. She is so pretty and she likes to wave her arms. She likes to sing and she is pretty pretty smart and we love one another. She likes to Wiggle and watch the Wiggles. Her favorite part is with Captain FeatherSword. She likes to be in church and she likes daddy to go to work. She likes to play with real babies that don't talk. I love her. I like to kiss Victoria. Victoria always likes milk to drink...and me too! Madie likes water. "
Madeleine says this about Victoria, " Um, Victoria likes to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She is cute. I love when she hugs and kisses me. It makes me feel good because that means that she loves me. When I go to my bus stop in the morning I can hear hear scream all the way from the bus stop. I like to make her laugh. When she does funny faces she makes me laugh. She likes when I pull her in the wagon or when I catch her on the end of the slide. I love Victoria very much and she loves babies. When I pass her a ball she passes it back to me. I also taught her how to shake her head NO when she was a baby."
Just like our two other girls were at this age, Victoria is attached to me at the hip, which makes life quite interesting when trying to get things done and go places. We love our "TT" and I continually count my blessings with having her in my life.
